SafeSight transPRK | Lasik | ReLEx SMILE | Implantable Collamer Lens (ICL) | |
Procedure |
The outermost surface epithelium cells are gently removed using the SCHWIND AMARIS 1050RS laser. The laser goes on to reshape the cornea curvature to correct the refractive power in one seamless step. The epithelium cells will then self-heal. |
The cornea is cut with either a rapidly oscillating blade or with a femtosecond laser. The flap is opened up, and the excimer laser starts removing tissue to reshape the cornea. The flap is then closed back |
A small lens-shaped piece of cornea tissue (lenticule) is cut out with a femtosecond laser. The lenticule is removed through a small incision at the side of the cornea. |
A permanent intra-ocular contact lens will be inserted through a small incision at the side of the cornea. The ICL is placed behind the iris and in front of the natural lens of the eye. |
